Me and my friend thoroughly enjoyed it
This African restaurant is great and something great happened because the owner and manager happened to be someone I received with his family in Rotterdam in 2003 and assisted them when they moved to Dublin, Ireland. I googled the location and met him and for two days in a row, I had a lavish entertainment because we were meeting for the first time since 2003 which is 22 years ago 😅
My husband bought me the okra soup with 4 meats and pounded yam as takeaway. It's the worst okra soup I have eaten. It was green okra with some red tomato soup poured on tip. The tomato sauce was tastless, no seasoning. Tasted like warned up canned tomatoes just poured on the okra. The meat was tastless- absolutely no seasoning! This is a fraud for £13. Only the pounded yam was ok. Very disappointed 😞
I have bought food from the Marina for about 6 years now. I’m in no way a regular customer, I’ve probably averaged once or twice a year, but I still wanted to review. Tonight, I got their isiewu, beans , plantain and assorted meat, and suya. Really really tasty, very generous portions and authentic Nigerian food. The owner’s customer service has also greatly improved. He’s nice, and will greet you with a smile and chat with you if you’re so inclined. Highly recommended.
Food was BLAND, lacked salt, pepper and every ingredient that could be used for a soup… ‘‘twas a total waste of money. Vegetable soup was not spiced properly, can’t believe anyone can get vegetable soup messed up that bad. Oha soup tastes like plain raw palm oil. Got Isi-ewu as take out and ended up spicing it myself at home. Waste of 50mins drive, waste of time, waste of money. Wished Google had a negative star rating…
Great service and hospitality, and outstanding food. The pounded yam and bitter leaf soup were amazing. Highly recommend.
Disappointing first experience having a takeaway from this restaurant. Ordered the vegetable sauce but got bitter leaf which I didn't want. The pounded yam was very heavy and made my stomach ache when I ate some of it. Little meat and although I didn't want fish both the chicken and mutton tasted very fishy.
Bought pepper soup here and all I got was the bottom of the pot looking like egusi. Meat was not so assorted
